4. Data processing by the extension

How the extension works

Trailer Launcher is a Chrome browser extension that adds a trailer button to the Netflix interface. When activated, it:

• Reads the title of the movie or TV show currently displayed on Netflix
• Sends API requests to TMDB (The Movie Database) and Kinocheck to find the corresponding trailer
• Opens the found YouTube trailer in a new tab

Data transmitted to third parties

The extension communicates with the following third-party APIs:

• TMDB API (api.themoviedb.org) — Movie/TV show title is sent to look up trailer information. See TMDB Privacy Policy.
• Kinocheck API (api.kinocheck.com) — Used as an alternative source for trailer data. See Kinocheck Privacy Policy.
• YouTube (googleapis.com) — Used to retrieve trailer video information. See Google Privacy Policy.

Local data storage

Trailer Launcher does not store any personal data. No cookies are set by the extension. No analytics or tracking is performed.
